The Houston Zoo is approximately 55 acres in size and it is the home of more then 4500 animals and 900 species. It receives about 1.6 million visitors a year, making it the 7th most visited zoo in the United States. The Houston Zoo and it is located inside Houston's Hermann Park.

Downtown Aquarium Houston
This dining and entertainment complex is centered around a 500,000 gallon aquarium filled with more then 200 species of fish and sealife. The complex has a restaurant, a bar, a ballroom, a shopping area, and aquatic and geographic exhibits. The center was created by redevelooping two Downtown Houston landmarks, Fire Station Number 1 and the Houston Central Waterworks Building.
